We provide deep-sea / offshore high-pressure hose assemblies built around high reliability and long service life, for hydraulic systems on offshore platforms, subsea equipment, drilling units and ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles). They are engineered to withstand not just standalone pressure, but four combined marine operating conditions: seawater corrosion, continuous dynamic bending, seabed abrasion and difficult-to-access maintenance.
Why the marine environment acts as a "longevity test" for hoses
The cost of hose failure offshore is extremely high. A single subsea hose fault often results in shutdowns, diver operations or ROV intervention, with costs calculated in days and tens of thousands. Marine degradation acts as a combined attack: chloride ions in seawater cause long-term corrosion of the outer cover and fittings; platform heave and ocean swells trigger continuous dynamic bending of the hose, accumulating fatigue in the steel reinforcement; seabed dragging, coral and foreign objects lead to abrasion and puncture; confined spaces and frequent oscillation amplify routing stress. Conventional land-based hoses suffer premature failure under this combination of loads.
Four layers of high-reliability technology
① Seawater-resistant outer cover The outer sheath is made of special polymer resistant to seawater and chloride ion corrosion. Anti-marine-growth treatment is available to slow cover degradation and biofouling.
② Dynamic fatigue-resistant reinforcement High-fatigue steel wire with optimized layout is adopted for the reinforcement layer. It improves fatigue life under combined "continuous bending + pressure pulsation" loads, enduring millions of cycles from platform heave and ROV swinging.
③ Abrasion & puncture resistance A wear-resistant and cut-resistant structure (high-strength fiber armor) is integrated into the outer or adjacent layer to withstand dragging on the seabed and scraping by coral and debris, preventing hose penetration.
④ High-reliability corrosion-resistant fittings Fittings are manufactured from seawater-corrosion-resistant materials with locking construction. Combined sealing and anti-loosening design prevents leakage and loosening over long-term service under coexisting high pressure, vibration and corrosion.
Typical Applications
Offshore platform and drilling hydraulics, ROV (remotely operated vehicle) umbilicals and hydraulic lines, subsea production systems, corrosion-resistant hydraulics on port and nearshore machinery.
